On an episode of Joshua Citarella’s podcast, he spoke to Mike Pepi, author of Against Platforms, about his book in which he takes tech platforms to task with serious critiques. It’s an interesting convo and I was honored to get a mention that included both complements about my work and some misunderstandings of it as well so I thought it’d be good to respond to them.
Note that this is not a callout or anything, after all Citarella was on my podcast just a couple of years ago, he included Blockchain Socialism in his latest e-deologies post and I’m a big fan of his work! So while I disagree with Mike Pepi on some points, I think it’d be a really interesting to have him on at some point.
I think one of the best complements I can get comes from critics who otherwise say that my book was really good 🥰
