Crypto Leftists, comrades, and other weirdos reading my articles, I want to thank you all for the feedback and discussions you’ve all engaged in with me and each other. It’s been an amazing past couple of months when I first started this initiative and the r/cryptoleftists subreddit. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the amount of people who felt the same way I did about the lack of authentic Left wing perspective in the blockchain and crypto space but I’ve been even more pleasantly surprised by the positive words of encouragement on my writing. We may not all agree 100% of the time but I think I’ve proven to most that I’m genuine in my beliefs and dedicated to this project as I’ve kept my promise to publish articles every Sunday.
You may have noticed that I’ve been adding more to the subreddit to make it easier for people to access important content in preparation for this end of the year announcement, however before I go into it, let’s recap quickly on what I’ve been able to accomplish so far.
1) A 3 part blockchain introduction for socialists
What Blockchain Can Bring to the Left (Part 3)
2) A 2 part digital currency history overview from a crude Marxist perspective
The Material Evolution of Digital Currency and Crypto (Part 1)
The Material Evolution of Digital Currency and Crypto (Part 2)
3) Three articles that try to answer the most frequently asked questions about blockchain and crypto from leftists
Isn’t Blockchain A Huge Waste of Energy?
Cocaine, the ICO Bubble, and Neoliberalism
What do Other Leftists Think About Blockchain
4) Share a bunch of memes
We must use memes to shift the Overton Meme Window to the Left
I swear I’m not trying to be cheesy when I say this, but it’s truly been a pleasure to write and publish those articles. These are thoughts that I’ve had in my head for a long time now so it was a great feeling to finally share it with others and I have a lot more thoughts that I’d like to share as well in the future. Expect still more content to be published every Sunday.
The Announcement
As some of you can imagine, writing these articles and working full time (or more a lot of the time for me) is incredibly time consuming. If I had the financial means to do so, I would leave my job and dedicate myself to this project to be able to make more and creative content, but I’m just a lowly wage slave dependent on employers to be able to pay for the things I need to stay alive.
I’ve had a Patreon account up for a while without any clear benefits to paying into it, but now that’s about to change. Below you’ll find the new tier benefits.

What To Expect in the Future
We’re moving and expanding. This means that you should know what I have in mind for the future and moving the project forward. Below are some of the things I’ve been thinking but I’m always open to more suggestions.
- Interviews with people working on cool projects
- Collaborations with other creators – if you’re interested in a collaboration or have someone to suggest, feel free to reach out to me through Reddit, Twitter, or the Contact page
- Subreddit moderator applications – I’ll post a thread about this one soon
- Discord exclusive discussions for patrons
- Recommendations for projects to learn more about- a list of projects that I will update continuously and add to the sidebar of the subreddit in the future
- Project analysis for leftist potential – what criteria do you want to see projects assessed by?
- Ability to donate with crypto – any suggestions on which ones you want to see?
- Programming resources to help you start on your first blockchain project
- A who’s who in Crypto World – it’s important to know the right people to ratio on Twitter
- Experimentation with other mediums (podcasts, videos, etc.) – need to get some equipment for that first though
- I’d like to explore more decentralized alternatives to centralized platforms – feel free to suggest
- Receiving more shit from comrades about being revisionist – it’s still important to be inclusive, engage honestly with them, and assume good intentions
Thank you all again for the support, I’m looking forward to hearing from you guys, and I hope you’ll consider helping out in whatever way you can even if it’s not monetary.
